At INcircle Health, obesity care is part of your membership and integrated into your overall primary care.

We view obesity as a long-term medical condition with many contributing factors, not just a number on the scale. Treatment is approached holistically, considering physical health, mental health, lifestyle, medications, and life circumstances.

Care is grounded in evidence-based medicine and delivered with ongoing support in a trauma-informed, nonjudgmental setting where you are listened to and respected.

Why Choose INcircle?

Dr. Juan Carlos Venis is board-certified in both Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine, bringing clinical expertise and his own lived experience to the care of patients with obesity and metabolic conditions.

At INcircle Health, obesity is a chronic, biologically driven condition across a spectrum from early risk to disease. Treatment is personalized and long-term, combining lifestyle support, medical assessment, and when appropriate, medications that affect appetite and metabolism.

We use body composition, labs, history, medications, and health impact—not BMI alone—and offer in-person or virtual care plus objective body composition tracking to measure progress beyond the scale.

FAQs

How do you help me navigate my options?

1

Medications are tools, not cures. They work best when carefully selected, monitored, and adjusted over time. Not every option is right for every person, and treatment plans often evolve as health needs, goals, and circumstances change.

At INcircle Health, we help you:

  • Understand which treatment options may be appropriate for you

  • Weigh benefits, risks, and potential side effects

  • Navigate medication availability, pricing, and insurance limitations

  • Adjust treatment based on how your body responds over time

Care at INcircle Health includes ongoing guidance and monitoring, with a focus on safety, sustainability, and long-term health—not quick fixes.

What medications do you prescribe?

2

We prescribe evidence-based medications across multiple FDA-approved classes, tailored to your medical history, goals, and overall health. Our primary treatment options often include incretin-based therapies (such as GLP-1–based medications), when clinically appropriate.

We preferentially prescribe FDA-approved, commercially available medications whenever possible. In select situations, compounded medications may be considered if medically appropriate and will always be discussed transparently, including potential benefits, limitations, and safety considerations.

Medication is only one part of care and is always integrated into a broader, holistic treatment plan.

  • Review of medical history and prior obesity treatments

  • Screening for obesity-related conditions

  • Clinical assessment using medical criteria (not BMI alone)

  • seca body composition scan with physician interpretation (one free annually with packages available)

  • Discussion of treatment options and next steps

  • If obesity-related conditions are identified, we make sure to manage these appropriately

What is included in obesity management visits?

Many online weight-loss programs, local wellness spas, and some functional or metabolic clinics—even those that are well-intentioned or more evidence-based—often operate outside the context of a long-term, relationship-based primary care model. These options may emphasize convenience, aesthetics, supplements, or protocol-driven care, and frequently involve high costs, limited price transparency, and fragmented follow-up.

What they often cannot replace is the value of an in-person physician who truly knows you over time—your medical history, medications, life circumstances, goals, and how your body responds to treatment across months and years.

At INcircle Health, weight management is led by your physician and fully integrated into comprehensive primary care. Treatment is evidence-based, safety-focused, and personalized, with progress tracked longitudinally—not just by the scale, but by meaningful health outcomes.

The goal is not quick results or cosmetic change. It is lasting health, sustainability, and care that adapts with you over time.

How are you different from the other options out there?
