Your friendly INcircle family doctor.

Hi, I’m Dr. Juan Carlos Venis — a family doctor and founder of INcircle Health in downtown Indianapolis, known as the Circle City. I live in the community I serve and am fluent in both English and Spanish, which helps me connect deeply with a diverse range of patients.

I started this practice to bring healthcare back to what it should be: personal, accessible, and relationship-centered. I believe patients hold the key to their own health. My role is to help unlock that potential — supporting people in discovering their strengths and making meaningful changes that last. I'm especially passionate about prevention, chronic disease management, and lifestyle medicine.

I'm board-certified in family medicine, credentialed in HIV care, and currently pursuing additional certification in obesity medicine. Since 2017, I’ve also taught at the Indiana University School of Medicine and serve on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians.

If you’re looking for a doctor who truly knows you and cares for our community, I’d be honored to be part of your journey.

Being your doctor means showing up with curiosity, compassion, and respect—because healing starts with being seen and heard.

What is a family doctor?

  • Specialty-trained to care for all ages

  • Can handle up to 90% of your health needs

  • Coordinates your care, manages chronic and acute issues, and helps prevent problems before they happen

Family doctors care for people of all ages and a wide range of health needs. We complete extensive training, including:

  • 4 years of undergraduate education

  • 4 years of medical school

  • 3 years of residency in family medicine, covering pediatrics, adult medicine, OB/GYN, mental health, and more.

Many of us also have added expertise in areas like sports medicine, obstetrics, LGBTQ+ care, HIV care, and geriatrics.

Having a primary care doctor helps people stay healthier, spend less, and avoid more hospital visits.

Everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and cared for.

At INcircle Health, we welcome people of all backgrounds and walks of life, and we’re committed to creating a space where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued.
