DPC is great for anyone who wants more personal, accessible care — especially if you have a high-deductible plan, are uninsured, or want a doctor who really knows you. It’s a smart choice for people with chronic conditions, busy schedules, or those looking to save on routine care, labs, and meds without the hassle of insurance.
-
Your membership covers unlimited in-person and virtual visits, same- or next-day access, secure messaging, and discounts on labs, medications, and imaging. You’ll have direct access to your doctor — without the wait or the runaround.
-
While your membership covers all the care we provide in the clinic — including unlimited visits, direct access, and many services at no extra cost — it’s still recommended to have insurance for things like hospitalizations, specialist visits, surgeries, or emergencies.
Some patients choose to pair their membership with an insurance plan, knowing that most of their day-to-day care is covered through InCircle Health. That’s a personal choice, but insurance remains an important safety net.
Without insurance, you’d be responsible for 100% of emergency, hospital, or other care outside our clinic, which can be financially devastating. That’s why we strongly recommend carrying at least a high-deductible insurance plan alongside your DPC membership for true peace of mind.
Please note: Membership in InCircle Health does not count as health insurance under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
-
You can use FSA funds for your membership. HSA funds can often be used for covered services (like labs or procedures), but not for the membership fee itself under current IRS rules.
-
Possibly. Since we’re out-of-network and don’t bill insurance, you’ll need to check with your plan. We’re happy to provide superbills and detailed invoices for you to submit.
-
Absolutely. You can contact your doctor anytime by phone, secure text, or through the patient portal. No phone trees, no hold music.
-
Nope. We keep things flexible. You can cancel anytime with 1 month notice — no fine print or hidden fees.
-
We’ll help coordinate referrals, share records, and support you through the process. We continually work to identify affordable out of pocket prices for diagnostic testing and specialist consults. If you choose to use insurance at outside pharmacies or for referrals, we can often help with prior authorizations too.

During open enrollment, many patients are surprised by the high cost of insurance premiums. Some choose a high-deductible or catastrophic plan to save money, then pair it with a DPC membership to ensure they still have access to affordable, personalized care throughout the year.
This combination can work well — you save on premiums while still having coverage for major health events, and you get better day-to-day care with no copays or surprise bills. Just remember: DPC is not a substitute for insurance, but it can make having insurance more manageable and worthwhile.
